President

Membership Elected, voluntary position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Growth and partnership opportunities for the ADFPF
  • Organize directors for national level and/or international level event
  • Work with WDFPF as appropriate on procedural issues
  • Ensure the executive board functions according to expectations
  • Ensure the integrity of the organization
  • Attend as many ADFPF National meets as possible.

Qualifications

  • An active interest in powerlifting.
  • Experience in managing a professional organization.
  • Ability to deal with all people in all situations.
  • Must travel to a majority of all national events.

Preferred Skills

  • Organized.
  • Good time manager.
  • Familiar with common productivity software.
Vice President

Membership Elected, voluntary position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Day to day operation of the federation
  • First line of communication with lifters and meet directors
  • Supervise State Chairs
  • Ensure integrity of all lifting records
  • Responsible for meet results, drug testing COC and samples completion in a timely manner and according to federation expectations
  • Attend as many ADFPF National meets as possible.

Qualifications

  • An active interest in powerlifting.
  • Experience in managing a professional organization.
  • Ability to deal with all people in all situations.
  • Must travel to a majority of all national events.

Treasurer

Membership Elected, voluntary position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Payment to the WDFPF for lifter entry fees
  • Maintain bank account
  • Annual Financial Statement
  • File forms 990 National and State

Qualifications

  • An active interest in powerlifting.
  • Demonstrated financial management skills and an understanding of tax law.
  • Familiarity with current banking practices, i.e. PayPal, Square.

Preferred Skills

  • Organized.
  • Good time manager.
  • Familiar with common productivity software.
Secretary

Membership Elected, voluntary position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for keeping records of the minutes of the organization at all BOD meetings.
  • Attends to the correspondence of the organization.
  • Maintains the corporate book
  • Assists in the organization of meetings, including booking meeting rooms, issuing notices of meetings, and preparing the agenda and other documents as well as background material. 
  • Attend as many ADFPF National meets as possible.

  • An active interest in powerlifting.
  • Must travel to a majority of all national events.

Drug Control Officer

Board Elected, voluntary position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Chain Of Custody
  • Interface with Quest and WADA/USADA
  • Issuance of Suspension Letters
  • Communicating the lifter’s position to the WDFPF

Qualifications

  • A medical professional, preferably a doctor.
  • Excellent written communications skills.

  • Organized.
  • Good time manager.
  • Familiar with common productivity software.
State Chair

Hired, paid position

Role and Responsibilities

  • Ensure that a State Meet happens every year.
  • Represent the ADFPF at meets in your state.
  • Assist ADFPF meet hosts.
  • Maintain state records.
  • Maintain state meet records.
  • Coordinate with the Drug Testing Officer.
  • Coordinate with the Technology Officer regarding website information.
  • Attend as many ADFPF National meets as possible.
  • Responsible for meet results, drug testing COC and samples completion in a timely manner and according to federation expectations
